Item Description
Two items. 3.5" wide 9" tall overall silver accent metal figure with wooden head painted black and metal cap has suitcases designed to hold cigarette pack and matchbox. c. early 1930s. Original silver finish is moderately worn, about 50% remains. Fine. Still an interesting deco figure. 8-1/8x11-1/8" "Judge" magazine is August 14, 1926 issue "Week-End Number". Front cover is titled "Bag And Baggage" and has image of large black bellhop carrying tiny suitcase following well dressed woman. 32 bw pages include numerous cartoons and jokes involving weekend travel. Cartoonists include Milt Gross and Bert Thomas. A few lt. handling creases here and there. Fine. Interesting pair. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
