Item Description
11.5x14-5/8" wood frame has archival mat with two openings. Opening at bottom is 2.5x3" with ballpoint pen signature "From Steve McQueen" on album page which has show through from signature on back but still bold and Exc. Top opening is 7.5x9.5" with photo of McQueen in costume with superb image of him as bounty hunter Josh Randall from TV show "Wanted Dead Or Alive" with Mare's Laig rifle and bullet belt slung over his shoulder. Steve McQueen (1930-1980) was nicknamed "The King Of Cool". His first film role was in the feature "Somebody Up There Likes Me" which starred Paul Newman and his first leading role was in the sci-fi classic "The Blob." He wound up in Hollywood as star of the TV series "Wanted Dead Or Alive" on CBS in 1958. 94 episodes were filmed between 1958 and early 1961. He would go on to star in such classics as "The Magnificent Seven", "The Great Escape", "Love With A Proper Stranger", "Nevada Smith", "The Sand Pebbles" and "Bullitt." By the time he was in "The Getaway" in 1972 he had become the world's highest paid actor. A great display and a very desirable autograph. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
