Item Description
All are 1939 Skelly Oil premiums. Folded as issued newspaper is 11x16.5" vol.1 #1 spring 1939 "Flight Patrol Reporter" with bold headline "Boys! Girl! Follow Captain Midnight All Summer In Flight Patrol Newspaper!" Four pages includes several photos of Captain Midnight cast members and includes nice photo of famous lion tamer Clyde Beatty with show announcer Don Gordon who had just given Beatty an official Flight Patrol badge. Paper is first of six issues published. Next is 2-1/8x3-7/8" "Flight Patrol" membership card filled in proper place in pencil by recipient. Next three items are each 6x7.75" stiff paper photos with facsimile signatures. Images include Chuck Ramsey, Captain Midnight in aviator costume and Captain Midnight with Patsy and Chuck standing in front of plane. Membership card is a bit worn around edges, otherwise group is Fine overall.
