Auction #204 - Part II
Item numbers 1447 through 3204 in auction 204
Item Description
Each is 10x12" die-cut card stock copyright 1933. Eight of the eleven are titled "Comic Par-T-Masks", one is titled "Polly And Her Pals" and another is titled "Hairbreadth Harry" and comes with actual Hairbreadth Harry mask. Last card is a bit thicker with a somewhat different design and is titled "Walt Disneys 3 Little Pigs And The Big Bad Wolf" and has different ideas for mask use text. Cards were used to display and sell this famous company's series of masks, some of which were used as premiums by companies including Disney. Comic strip character names at tops include Joe Palooka, Count Screwloose, Little Jimmy, Wash Tubbs, Mutt, Jeff, Gumps family members, Orphan Annie, Skeezix, Buck Rogers, Wilma, Skippy. Three Little Pigs card has rippled design at top which has pulled apart at margin edges, cards are otherwise VF overall. We've had some of these masks in the past but this is the first we've seen of these cards in our 45 years.
