Item Description
Same series as previous item #0000. 6.25x8.25" hardcover Copyright 1931 Pat Sullivan published by Henry Altemus Co., Philadelphia. Front and back covers have nice art of Felix as drum major leading parade including wooden toy soldiers with stack of blocks at right side. Has 36 full color slick paper pages reprinting Felix's adventures in Toy Land from Sunday comic strip with two panels to the page. Wonderful specialty art on inside front cover shows him coming down rainbow and greeting Mother Goose characters while specialty art on inside back cover shows him in open cockpit plane waving good-bye to angry animals in jungle. Although unsigned, all art appears to be by Felix's creator Otto Messmer. Covers have trace of lt. dust soil with lt. bumps at spine tips. Overall covers bright and Fine/VF. A few inside pages have very minor and small light lead pencil marks in margin otherwise contents are bright and Exc. Choice art with great color.
