Item Description
12" tall overall complete and all original including rubber tail and metal eyes. Underside of left foot is stamped "Knickerbocker Toy Co. New York Ignatz Mouse © Intl. Features Service, Inc Trade Mark Des. Pat. Pend." Superb condition, bright red felt, totally fresh and clean. Just slightest age tone on face but displays NM. Issued prior to Knickerbocker's production of Mickey Mouse dolls in 1934. The design implies that Knickerbocker was hoping to sell to both the Ignatz and Mickey Mouse fans market. A very rare character doll and first we've offered in our 45 years.
