Item Description
2.75" football designed button by W&H has the name of each university for a game played at "New Haven, Conn. 1921" which also honored "Marshal Foch" who is pictured at center. He was the Supreme Allied Commander in the final phase of World War I. He came to New York for a 6-week tour of the United States arranged by a dignitary of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Extreme bottom edge of cello has narrow line of slightly darker stain color but showing very little. A rare single day issue. Morry Greener Collection.
