Item Description
15/16" ferrotype from 1860 with small cord for suspension on the top edge. The outer edges of the piece are covered in dark brown velvet plush which is N. Mint. Front center has brass rim surrounding ferrotype portrait with "Stephen A. Douglas" above while opposite side has portrait with name above of "Herschel V. Johnson." Both images are just a hair to the dark side but all details are exceedingly clear and the emulsion on each side has mirror-like finish. A superb N. Mint example.
