Item Description
This is an exceptionally large piece for what would generically be called a pocket mirror. There is no maker name. Underside silvering has four long streaks and numerous tiny craze lines in the silvering although plenty of silvering remains and it is still functional as a mirror. The celluloid side has wonderful photo of a young girl in star and stripe dress holding a crisscrossed pair of American flags. She wears a tri-cornered hat in red accented by stars. Scattered and very trivial wear to the celluloid shows only in reflected light. Exc. and displays Mint. A remarkable celluloid piece from the World War I era. Morry Greener Collection.
