Item Description
Four items c.1950s issued by “Winthrop-Stearns, Inc. Manufacturers Of Outstanding Pharmaceutical Products”. Die-cut masks are each 8x13.25" stiff paper in two different designs with company text and instructions on reverse. Masks have never been folded or eye holes punched as per instruction and are unused and NM. One-sided paper sign is 8.5x20" with adhesive ends and wonderful graphics of totems and children wearing masks playing with dog. Sign has vertical fold through center with a few lt. handling creases and lt. color rubs at ends but still displays bright and VF. Comes with 9.25x14.25" envelope printed on front with text including “Mr. Druggist: This Envelope Contains 50 Thunderbird Masks/One Mask To Be Given Away With Any Prescription Filled/Make The Children In Your Neighborhood Work For You By Offering These Masks. They Will Sell Mothers And Fathers On Having Prescriptions At Your Drug Store So As To Get These Masks”. Envelope has some lt. aging, otherwise Exc. Nicely designed group. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold, accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
