Item Description
Camera cards were used by local TV stations when, while showing a movie or other show, the director cut to live for commercials or promos. ( See #3026 to #3028 & Howdy Doody #2519). The cards were placed on copy stand to be shot by TV camera. Pair of art-boards are each approximately 9x12" c.1950s-early 1960s. First is in watercolor and tempera with image of toy soldier saluting with hand lettered text “March Of The Wooden Soldiers Laurel And Hardy Thanksgiving Morning 8:30-10 a.m.”. Second card is in India ink and gouache with jungle scene including snake wrapped around tree trunk, leopard on top of rock and monkey swinging on vine with hand lettered text “Jungle Movies”. Both are Exc. and nicely designed. Unique. From the Archives of Louisville, KY TV Station WAVE.
