Item Description
c.early 1932, sent as Tom was recuperating from appendicitis attack in November 1931. 13.5x14.5" high quality wood frame has archival mat. Top opening is 4 5/8x6.25" with wonderful art image of Tom with facsimile signature and “Tom Mix Ranch” text at upper right. Printed card includes text “When A Fella’s Down, That’s The Time He Needs Help and Help I Sure Enough Got. I Want To Say Right Now That With The Help Of God And All My Friends Pulling Me By The Bootstraps I’m Almost Out Again And Will Soon Be Feelin’ Right Smart.” Second opening is 1.5x2.5" with “Tom Mix Beverly Hills California” text, likely from mailing envelope. Card has trace of lt. aging, otherwise VF. Envelope portion has a few lt. moisture marks as mailed. Fine. Professionally framed and ready to hang. Superb design.
