Item Description
8x10" superb glossy vintage publicity photo ©1934 Vitagraph has close-up image of well-dressed Clive in suit with bold 2" wide “Best Wishes Colin Clive” fountain pen signature at upper left. Bottom has text “Colin Clive-Warner Bros. & Vitaphone Pictures”. Reverse side has pencil note “Colin Clive In The Key May 1934". A few very faint and hardly noticeable tiny creases at two corner tips, otherwise VF. Colin Clive (1900-1937) played Dr. Henry Frankenstein in “Frankenstein” in 1931 “And The Bride Of Frankenstein” in 1935. Although he was an in-demand actor for a number of actresses including Katherine Hepburn, Jean Arthur and Bette Davis, he will always be remembered for the two classic Frankenstein films. A scarce signed photo and very desirable among Frankenstein/Universal collectors. Comes with Hake’s COA and JSA LOA.
