From the Ralph and Linda Kent collection. See Ralph Kent biography #2177. Art is c.1960s-1970s. First group consists of three vellum sheets, each 14x17" with India ink art and a few white paint accents. First sheet has different images of Donald’s three nephews, second sheet has Mickey as Sorcerer’s apprentice, Minnie as cowgirl with lasso, Goofy as astronaut, and Donald as jungle hunter. Third sheet has Goofy cooking hamburger on grill in rain and Mickey with baseball bat at plate getting rained on. Next group consists of five Bainbridge art-boards, each 15x20". Each has art on paper neatly cut out and glued in place for presentation purposes. Four boards each have four originals with some in lead pencil and some in India ink and all colored in colored pencil. First board has four images of Donald lying on mat slowly getting sunburnt. Second board has art of Mickey holding baseball bat in rain (similar art on vellum sheet), Donald looking at convertible full of water which has sailboat in back seat, Minnie trying to hang wash in rain and Goofy grilling (similar to art on vellum sheet). Third board has four images of Donald watching thunder cloud and eventually getting hit by lightning bolt and looking at his burnt tail. Fourth board has images labeled Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Frontierland. Includes hunter Donald looking at angry large butterfly, Donald as astronaut, Mickey as Sorcerer’s apprentice, and Mickey as cowboy twirling lasso. Fifth board has 10.5" diameter design for beach hat which includes Chip n’ Dale, Donald, and Goofy wearing mouse ears. Bit of lt. aging here and there but overall group is VF/Exc. Nicely designed and well drawn. We are unsure how many of these designs in this lot or the following lot #2180 were actually produced to be sold at the parks but this lot comes with 1960s “Disneyland” beach hat from the same time period as the designs in this lot.
