Item Description
Preliminary pencil art for cartoon released March 16, 1935 directed by Ben Sharpsteen. Pair of 9.5x12" animation sheets comprise two scenes of Mickey trying to fix a flat tire. First sheet has 3.5x3.75" image area with Mickey struggling with tire iron trying to get tire off wheel and second sheet has 3.75x5.25" image area with dazed Mickey with tire around his neck and stars in air. Lt. margin aging but image area on both is Exc. In the finished cartoon Mickey wore a service station attendant’s uniform. Wonderful action studies, great to frame together.
