Item Description
This magazine, although similar in format and design, is not to be confused with the promotional magazines issued exclusively by dairies from Nov. 1933 through Oct. 1935 (see items #2243-44). This is from a series that predates that series and was distributed by various stores/businesses from Jan. of 1933 through Sept. of 1933, only 9 issues were printed and all are rarely seen. This issue is Vol. 1, No. 4, April 1933. Published by Kay Kamen. 5.25x7.25" with 16 pages, contents are in bw. Easter cover. Contents include features "Mickey's Nightmare Movie Story, Silly Symphony Just Dogs" along w/illustrations and cartoons. Back cover notes "This Is A Sample Copy/It Is Available For Retail Stores To Mail To Their Boy And Girl Customers/This Page Is For The Store's Advertisement." Hole punched at spine. Tiny trace of staple rust noticeable only when viewed closely. Slightest cover wear/aging but a totally bright and clean copy overall. VF. Overstreet value in VF= $1,750. We have only offered a few issues from this rare series over our 45 years.
