Item Description
This is the first licensed Disney publication. 9x12”, complete with all 16 pages. By Bibo & Lang ©1930. This is a second to fourth printing, these printings are indistinguishable from one another. However, we know it is not a first printing as there are Win Smith Mickey daily strips on page 8 and back cover, the words “Printed In U.S.A.” on the front cover and age of Bobbette Bibo specified on the title page. Typically found with pages 9-10 removed but this complete copy has these pages intact. Featured on page 9 are “Mickey Mouse Pawns,” cut-outs to be used with “Mickey Mouse Journey” gameboard that appears on page 7. The rest of the book features a Mickey Mouse story of how he met Walt and got his name, music for song “Mickey Mouse You Cute Little Feller,” nice illustrations throughout including two which are full page. Contents have trace of aging and handling wear, corner tip bends. Cover has moderate aging/dust soiling. Scattered lt. creases mostly to corners. 2.5" split along bottom spine edge. Cover VG w/Fine contents. Still a solid, complete copy of this historic book. Overstreet value in Good=$1,050, Fine=$5,000.
