Item Description
Highly detailed model is 1:24 scale, 4x12x7" tall. Model of the "Bobber" caboose Walt proudly hand built in his Carolwood barn in 1950. The Carolwood Pacific Railroad was a 1/8 scale model train running behind Walt's Holmby Hills home. Precision molded in UV balanced engineering plastics and equipped w/steel wheels, the model was created by Hartland Locomotive Works, which also produced Walt's large scale Lilly Belle engine and tender. Included as convention exclusives are a solid walnut display base w/length of brass track and acrylic cover. Missing the collector's pin, but comes w/pin display block. Has paperwork, signed COA and original box. Michael Broggie has not only signed the COA but the roof of the caboose as well. Roof signature is bold and really adds to the overall display of this exceptional model. Broggie has a long and storied history in the Disney organization from his start in 1960 as an attractions Cast Member (ride operator) at Disneyland on the Autopia and Mine Train to his being the executive director of Walt's Barn and Miniature Railroad Museum. Box has some handling wear/writing but all else is Mint as issued. Issue price was $295. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
