Item Description
Attributed to Tom Wood and done for a Mickey Mouse cartoon released on January 9, 1937. Mickey does not appear in the cartoon and Donald Duck is the star, joined by Donna Duck who later became Daisy Duck. 9.5x12" animation sheet has 6.75x8.75" large image area in lead pencil. Wonderful art has Donald wearing open jacket and waving his sombrero in right hand and bowing towards Donna while holding a cactus bouquet as she fans herself in senorita outfit with hearts above her head. Lt. margin aging, three blank margin edges each have 3/8" bit of brown paper tape but image area itself is Exc. A classic scene based on an historic cartoon with this couple's first meeting.
