Item Description
See Blue Fairy from Pinocchio production art #2221. Art is c.1939 for feature film which premiered February 7, 1940 directed by Ben Sharpsteen and Hamilton Luske. Pair of 10x12" sheets of animation paper have art in lead pencil with some orange pencil accent color on J. Worthington Foulfellow figure. He stands 7" tall looking very sly wearing a cloak and clutching long cane. He is also known by the name Honest John. Sheet has lt. vertical fold at center with some tanning just outside image area. Image itself has VF appearance. Second sheet has total image area of 7.5x8.5" and has large figure of Gideon in center with three additional smaller images of him at right. All feature him wearing tattered cloak but proudly acting out with Foulfellow’s cane. Margins have lt. aging, image areas are Exc. Expressive images from a Disney classic cartoon.
