Item Description
c.late 1930s. 10x12" sheet of animation paper has 9x11" image area in lead and red pencil with five wonderful expressive images of Mickey. Includes him closing door, looking stunned, angrily throwing something, looking up smiling, and in friendly pose gesturing with left hand. Lower right corner has additional loose lead pencil sketch of his hand. Sheet has lt. margin aging but most of image area is Exc. Fred Moore joined Disney in 1930 and worked on the pigs in the Three Little Pigs. He served as an animator or directing animator for most of the animated features from Snow White to Peter Pan. He was responsible for updating Mickey Mouse’s appearance in the late 1930s. He was named a Disney Legend posthumously in 1995. Classic Mickey images.
