See #2336 and 2306 for related lots sent to same recipient for Mickey Mouse comb and lunch box. Two fountain pens and one mechanical pencil are each 5.25" long. One fountain pen and the mechanical pencil each have Mickey Mouse head on top while the other fountain pen has decal of Mickey on side. Pen without head on top has decorative metal clip near center with two images of Mickey and two of Minnie. Other fountain pen has metal clip near center with images of Mickey running and waving. Dimensional heads have a few tiny color rubs but all three instruments show little use and are Exc. Comes with 8.5x11" typewritten letter on illustrated Inkograph Company stationery dated October 7, 1935 addressed to store owner Drysdale & Son in Bennington, VT. promoting “Our New Mickey Mouse Pencil Retailing For 29¢”. Next are 8 3/8x11" illustrated promo sheet which has photo of mechanical pencil display and art image of mechanical pencil, 9x12" full color four page folder illustrated throughout promoting “Mickey Mouse Ink-D-Cator Fountain Pen” including image of display box and Mickey and Minnie in classroom using fountain pen with Clarabelle as teacher, and third four page folder which is black and white on front and back and blank on inside but includes similar graphics promoting Mickey pen. All four paper items have two horizontal folds as mailed, second folder has 3/8" vertical tear at bottom edge but overall paper items are Exc. Superb graphics and rare paperwork. An ultimate collection for Disney's first licensee of writing instruments.
