Each is 6x9” with choice full color covers and 48 bw pages of humorous cartoons. Issued by the Barker-Moore & Mein Medicine Co., Philadelphia, PA. Two books promote horse, cattle & poultry powder, other 2 promote Barker’s Nerve And Bone Liniment. c. early 1900s. Cartoons are well drawn with nice graphics including a horseless carriage style automobile. Many cartoons include stereotypical black characters. Published by Hayes Litho Co., Buffalo, NY. Comes with one original but tattered envelope that just comes along. Books show lt. aging with tan pages. Book 4 has faint crease on covers and lt. pen marks on back cover but o/w books are VF/Exc. with great design and bright cover colors. Seldom found in this high grade condition.
