Auction #182 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1499 in auction 182
Item Description
1.5" tall highly-detailed brass shell pin features spread-winged eagle at top holding a simulated medallion with the letters "US" flanking the simulated loop. A pair of flags at upper left and right surround the circular area which holds a crystal clear sepia cardboard portrait. The piece is pinned to a 2.25" rwb fabric ribbon of the style used at the time. On the back of the brass frame, long ago someone neatly wrote in tiny numerals "1888." Beautiful luster and totally clean. A gem.
