Item Description
5.25x7.5” with original dust jacket. Noted as a writer and artist, Gorey illustrated his books with quaint yet often macabre illustrations and is known for his “Gashlycrumb Tinies; Or, After The Outing” 1963 book. This is Gorey’s first book and was published by Duell, Sloan and Pearce New York/Little, Brown and Company Boston. ©1953. Story deals with a novelist and the writing process. Hardcover front and dust jacket have matching illustrations. Dust jacket shows some wear with .25” tear to top of spine and some lt. corner tip/edge wear. Fine. Book itself shows just the lightest trace of wear and is Exc. overall with NM pages.
