Item Description
8.5x9.75" somewhat trimmed stiff cardboard sign inscribed "To Harry McLaughlin - From His Friend Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr." Text lists Vanderbilt as "World Renowned/Lecturer/Author/Sportsman/Journalist." Some gray tone areas on photo. Three small rubs on top edge. Vanderbilt was son of Cornelius Vanderbilt III and Grace Graham Wilson. He launched several newspapers which failed and was assistant managing editor at the New York Daily Mirror. He was married six times, wrote and lectured and was a strong supporter of newly created state of Israel. From the Harry McLaughlin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
