Item Description
This wonderful piece is 3-1/8" tall with the candidates' names on a large die-cut brass bar pin. Chain links lead to a 1.5" tall translucent amber-colored glass shield with raised outer edge and recessed center featuring flag design at top and raised jugate portraits below. A small glass flake is off the very top center point of the shield but in normal viewing position, this is hidden by the brass loop that joins it to the top segment. The very bottom point of the shield has a minute 1/8" hairline fracture mark but again this is so tiny that it barely shows at all unless the piece is held so that light passes through it. A very rare and exceptionally beautiful 1888 campaign piece. See following related item.
