Item Description
4.5" dia. by 6.5" tall. 1 lb. c. 1920s. Superb graphics of steaming cup of coffee on saucer and blue/white image of honest Abe Lincoln. "Lewis De Groff & Son/New York." Smaller text reads "Dealers Are Authorized To Refund Money In Case Goods Are Not Satisfactory." Tin is made by Passaic Metal Ware, New Jersey. Original threaded lid with embossed "Steel Cut/To Open Turn" with 95% of gold luster remaining on lid. Front and back images remain bright and clean. Detailed gold luster accents remain luminescent. Sides remain straight and smooth. A few very minute scuffs visible only under closest inspection. Tiny text near top reads "Can Patented Jan. 30, 1923." An almost NM example of a superb coffee tin.
