Item Description
Six original release 1933 glossy stills from "Duck Soup" are each 8x10". All are No.1453 series and includes individual No.'s 41, 46, 57, 70, 72, 74. Groucho is featured prominently in all six and Margaret Dumont is in five with both shown in two different classic bedroom scenes. Trace of lt. dust soil and aging in blank margins with a few minor handling creases here and there but overall group is Fine/VF. Comes with 9.25x12.25" Nov. 15, 1933 issue of "The Philadelphia Exhibitor" magazine with "Duck Soup" ad on front cover. Issue has 30 inside bw pages. Covers have dust soil, contents VF. Sheet music pair are each 9-1/8x12-1/8" with six pages. First is "When My Dreams Come True" copyright 1929 from Marx Brothers film "The Cocoanuts" with front cover showing co-stars Mary Eaton and Oscar Shaw dancing with beach scene in bkg. Published by Irving Berlin Inc. Second music is for "Why Am I So Romantic?" from "Animal Crackers" film copyright 1930 Famous Music Corp. with nice front cover showing all four Marx Brothers seated in a row with animal crackers at right side. First sheet music has original owner's name written lightly in pencil on front cover with a few lt. handling creases. Fine. Second sheet music is Exc. A nice group of items from classic Marx Brothers films. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
