Item Description
First art board is 14-1/8x17.5" Craftint with 11.75x15.25" image area drawn by John Severin for Cracked magazine #73 published in 1968. Titled "The Commercial Possibilities", ties into success of Bonnie and Clyde feature film and includes pillows with images of Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, get-a-way car, pajamas, playing cards, luminous pens. Paste up lettering on top has darkened with age, otherwise image area will mat and frame to Exc. appearance. Second is 17.75x23.25" Bainbridge art board with 13x19.25" image area in India ink drawn by Bruce Bolinger based on 1996 film that starred Marlon Brando for unknown issue of Cracked. Hugely overweight and exaggerated Brando diving through hoop with shark at Sea World and lying on shoreline like beached whale with sign "Stay Clear US Coast Guard Water Hazard". Art is signed in pencil at lower right "Original Bolinger". Image area clean and Exc. Wonderful likenesses of Beatty, Dunaway and Brando.
