Item Description
Each is 3-3/8x5-3/8" c. early 1900s-1927. All but one are real photo postcards. Includes historical card showing French aviators Nungesser and Coli standing in front of their plane which has heart image with skull and crossbones on side. Card is printed by A.N. Paris and dated in ink on reverse "8 Mar 1927". Other scenes include wreckage of George Schmitt airplane in field near homes crowded with spectators, stunt pilots B.C. Hucks (two different) and Marcus Manton, acrobat walker leaving Paige roadster on beach going 80mph and climbing up rope ladder to Utica plane. Also includes hand tinted card with man in early bi-plane holding bouquet of roses with text in Spanish which translates to Many Congratulations. Hucks real photo postcard is postally used, a few have notes on back, trace of lt. dust soil here and there. Overall group is VG+. Historical with nice images. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
