Item Description
Five pieces c. early 1950s. All have Fisher art. Includes 7" tall leather helmet with Joe Palooka image on front wearing sweatshirt with initials "FBH", pair of 9.25" long stuffed vinyl boxing gloves with Joe Palooka images and No.176 on cuffs, and boxed bop bag with pump. Box is 7x7-1/8x5-7/8" deep issued by Ideal No.5200 with images on four sides of bag including two of youngster working out with boxing gloves. Inflatable vinyl bag is 3 feet tall with classic image of Joe wearing boxing gloves. Includes 5.5x8.5" "The Art Of Self Defense" eight page illustrated paper booklet. Last item is 9" long deluxe variety metal air pump made by Dodger, originally issued for "Joe Palooka Punchin' Bag". Bop bag is the smaller of two sizes and has weighted bottom. See item #2130. Helmet and gloves show little use and are VF/Exc. Bop bag was never inflated and is VF. Box has lt. scattered wear. Fine. Paper booklet is heavily worn and creased. VG. Pump has bit of wear at left side near Palooka image. VG.
