Item Description
Patented 1886 by Shepard Hardware Co. 3-7/8x4-7/8x9-7/8" tall overall painted cast iron with large head full figure man standing next to carpet bag atop base titled in relief on front "Stump Speaker" with name "Bank" in relief on two sides. 70% paint remains. Works well. When coin is placed in figure's hand and lever is pressed, he lowers his hand and drops coin into the carpet bag which has opened. Upon releasing lever his jaw moves up and down and bag closes. Fine/VF. Great concept and design.
