Item Description
10.75x12" archival mat board has 5.25x6.5" opening revealing lead pencil art of woman on pterodactyl. Art is captioned in pencil beneath image and signed at left side in lead pencil with printed signature "Vaughn Bode". Preliminary art for his 1970s Purple Pictography series. Wings and claws of pterodactyl have a few eraser marks. Overall VF. Vaughn Bode (1941-1975) was a noted underground comics and graphics design artist best known for the character Cheech Wizard and the Deadbone series. A nice tight example of Bode's pencil art.
