Item Description
"Comic Monthly" was the first monthly newsstand comic publication. Published by Embee Distributing Co. New York. Copyright 1921 by Newspaper Feature Service Inc. 8-5/8x9.25" with stiff paper covers has front cover art of Polly and her Pa looking at twenty dollar bills as Pa nervously smokes cigar. Contains 24 pulp paper pages of daily comic strips with one per page dated between July and August 1921. Back cover promotes "February Number Of Comic Monthly Mike & Ike (they look alike) By Rube Goldberg". Scattered aging and moderate handling wear with some cover dust soil and lt. creasing. Tiny chips gone from spine edge. Overall Good. Historical with classic art throughout by Cliff Sterrett.
