Item Description
1919. 20x29.75" with image of young woman in front of YWCA logo. Text at bottom "In Service For The Girls Of The World". Art is by noted illustrator McMein. A few faint handling creases are just barely visible. Bright and VF as mounted. Neysa McMein (1888-1949) sold her first cover to the Saturday Evening Post in 1915 and drew posters for France and the United States during WWI. Between 1923 and 1937 she did all of the covers for McCall's magazine and also did other magazine work as well as advertising for Palmolive soap, Lucky Strike cigarettes, and created the image of Betty Crocker for General Mills.
