Item Description
6x8" note dated May 8, 1944 on hotel Drake stationery answering a request for an autograph. Text includes "Thank You For Your Little Note - It Is Always Pleasant To Hear From A Burke Fan!" Letter is signed boldly in fountain pen. Horizontal fold through center as mailed, a few lt. handling creases. Overall Fine with Exc. autograph. Burke was a noted silent film actress who later went on to achieve fame as Glinda the Good Witch of the North in 1939s "The Wizard of Oz" and also had great success in the "Topper" films as well as "Father of the Bride" with Elizabeth Taylor. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
