Auction #205 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1426 in auction 205
Item Description
1.25" with high relief portraits. DeWitt/Sullivan 1868-14 issued in silvered brass with the silvering so thin that it has evaporated from the vast majority of known examples. However 80% remains on this Seymour obverse and 90% on the Blair reverse. Complete with tiny brass strip on upper edge to serve as a loop which is so often missing from this type of shell. Our last example with nearly all silver luster gone exceeded $200.00.
