The slipcase is green with an illustration laid into the front cover. ©1966. Copyright Act text dated 1976. Printing not listed but code "HOR20" in place. 6.75x9.75". 439 pgs. "The Lord Of The Rings" is a one-volume collector's edition bound in red leatherette with gold, green, and blue foil, two-color text setting, and large format fold-out maps containing the complete texts of "The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers", and "The Return of the King", and six appendices. Plain slipcase in matching red. ©1965. Dated 1974. Both editions printed by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston. Slipcases show slt. trace of aging/wear. VF/Exc. Volumes are NM. Two beautiful 1970s editions for the J.R.R. Tolkien fan.
