Item Description
Hake #3373. This example is missing its original ribbon replaced by a piece of rose colored felt-like fabric joining the suspended fob to the upper hanger. As configured the piece stands 5-1/8" tall. Top features huge California bear with links suspending state name below. On the suspension is large portrait of "Theodore Roosevelt." Lower right has 1/8" spot of gold finish missing with just a few other pinpoint dots gone but about 97% remaining. Back of the piece has similar 3/16" spot of gold finish missing from bottom edge but remains largely intact and reads in full "California Delegation To The National Progressive Convention Chicago 1912." Also see rare California badge for the 1896 convention as item #221. Very limited issue.
