This 1.25" size is unlisted in Hake although the 7/8" size is listed as #264 with 2004 guide value of $2,500. This photographic button is extremely ornate. While the contrast could be a little sharper everything is easily visible and readable. At the top of the piece is a bull moose head. Their portrait areas are surrounded by stars with shield accent at bottom center. As issued, no backpaper, and with a light layer of tan oxidation on the metal reverse but causing no problem. There is a tiny bit of tan age around the reverse collet but none shows whatsoever on the front of the piece. Celluloid surface has just a couple of tiny 1/16" faint scratches near the top but exceedingly minor and the piece displays essentially Mint as made. Also see Hiram Johnson hopeful items #466-467.
