Item Description
We put these buttons between Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt because of the historic 1932 Bonus March on Washington (see item #150). However we are not sure of their date of issue. Both are of a construction that could be as early as 1932 but they could also be from some particular state which issued a bonus to World War II veterans in the 1940s. The first, with metal reverse, has Baltimore union bug and reads "Republican Party Supports The Bonus." The second has cardboard reverse with name of maker on curl Phila. Badge. This reads "Vote Republican For Veterans' Bonus." Each has only minor surface wear in reflected light. Both display Mint.
