Item Description
These are all celluloid buttons and vast majority are 7/8". All but one date from 1920 or earlier. In order are William Randolph Hearst/NY, Charles Hughes/NY, Odell Higgins/NY, George Gray presidential hopeful button, Robert LaFollette/Wisconsin, Landon For Governor c. 1932, "Stock Exchange Stewart Club". This is 1.25". Next is a "Stewart" name button. Next are three for Yates of Illinois. White background one has some stain and the other two mostly in gray are one and a duplicate. Next is Lowden, next are two different for Deneen, next are two different for O.N. Carter. The previous ten are all Illinois candidates as are the following eight. The following eight consist of three for "Dunne". Also see lot #321 of Woodrow Wilson/Dunne items. Next reads "Magerstadt." Next is name button for Carter Harrison. Next is lapel stud for "Hessing For Mayor." Next is portrait button for Fred Busse and the group concludes with a lapel stud for the same man. Other than Yates and a little age tone on the Carter Harrison these all display extremely clean. A nice collection focusing on Illinois.
