Item Description
"1.25" showing him in beret and sunglasses. Button has all over tan stain except for a small white spot on his hat. Green became widely known when he and Richard Daley climbed the Gateway Arch in July, 1964. They were protesting, as part of the organization Congress On Racial Equality, the fact that the city was using federal money to build the monument without African-Americans getting a fair portion of the contracts and jobs. Green became known as "The Man Who Went Up The Arch." He lead a new organization known as "ACTION" whose main goal was to get better jobs for African-Americans. Obviously aged but still displays well. Only example we've seen.
