Item Description
This early 1900s rare and very clever mechanical novelty is German-made and features a glass mirror on the underside. Top view has glass cover over very colorful image of a photographer standing next to a large portrait camera mounted on a tripod. The only text is German marking at lower left "D.R.G.M." The photographer has a movable arm and his hand holds a rounded disk which rests behind a tiny metal tab in front of the camera lens. When the piece is shaken, the photographer’s arm rises revealing a .25” silver metal insert which is capable of reflecting the image of the person looking into the camera lens hole. Most unusual. We had one other example with ad for Sauer's Flavoring Extracts that exceeded $400. This does not have that text. Rare and NM.
