Auction #205 - Part II
Item numbers 1427 through 3167 in auction 205
Item Description
1950s. 13.5" tall "Prisco" oil lamp with glass globe. Lamp is aged as intended for authenticity. Technically VG, but displays great as is. Comes with 8.5x11" Certificate of Authenticity from "Ellis Props/Graphics" Hollywood prop house signed in ballpoint pen by armorer Steve Carns who made many props and archivist Paul Francis. Certificate reads in part that lamp "Has Been Utilized In The Lone Ranger And Other Televison And Film Productions." Certificate is dated September 23, 1999 and has attached brief history of Ellis prop company. Lamp comes with string tag noting "1800s Style Table Oil Lamp" used in the Lone Ranger production. Also includes pair of 8x10" glossy photos. One shows Clayton Moore in costume as the Lone Ranger with gun drawn and the other shows Jay Silverheels in costume as Tonto. Both show similar lanterns. Each has die-cut holes at left side as made for placement in three ring binder. Otherwise Fine. The photos and lantern together would make for a great display. Wonderful piece of western TV show history.
