Item Description
Wood frame has 10.5x13-5/8" opening revealing thin cardboard sign for January 1930 issue of "Breezy Stories". Superb cover art by Enoch Bolles has woman in dress being carried by man in tuxedo. Art is for story "Party Girl" by Cyril J. Conrad. Text at top promotes this story and text at bottom promotes "75 Yellow Book 25¢". Bottom has C.H. Young publishing company text including "Newsdealers, Post This Card! Win Fifty Dollars: 10 Prizes Given Away Every Month For Best Breezy Stories And Poster Displays With Increased Sales." Trace of lt. dust soil with a few lt. handling creases and lt. aging. Fine and looks great as framed. A classic Bolles cover which has been reproduced in various formats in recent years. Limited distribution, just for newsdealers and those in the trade. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
