Item Description
10x15-3/8" copyright W.R. Hearst. Published by the North American and Journal. Thin cardboard covers and 64 inside pages reprinting Sunday comics from 1901 and 1902. Gags involve tigers in humorous situations dressed and acting like humans. Both covers have pulled totally loose and have dust soil with corner pieces missing. Just Fair. Inside page edges have trace of dust soil in a few blank margins but overall contents are clean tight and Fine/VF. Rare. An historic representation of one of the first funny animal comic strips. Nice art throughout by comic strip pioneer Swinnerton.
