Item Description
2.25" beautifully colored pocket mirror showing Mohammad-Reza Shah Pahlavi plus his two younger brothers Prince Ali Reza Pahlavi and Gohlam Reza Pahlavi. In August 1941, Britain and the Soviet Union invaded and occupied Iran forcing Reza Shah to abdicate in favor of his 21 year old son. We believe this mirror dates from that time or is perhaps just a couple of years earlier. There is no maker name on the piece. NM displaying Mint and the only example we've seen. The Shah ruled until forced into exile in 1979 by the Iranian Revolution.
