Item Description
This beautiful and elaborate piece is 8.75" tall. The colorful celluloid insert on the bar pin shows "The Connecticut House 1904" and also reads "Louisiana Purchase Exposition St. Louis, Mo." Suspended beige fabric ribbon below has names of early colonial leaders "Hooker/Haynes." Beneath this reads "Connecticut/The Constitution State." Laying on top of this ribbon suspended from a wire is a carved wooden acorn. Fabric has loop suspending gorgeous 1.25" celluloid in mint luster brass accent frame. Below this is gold type reading "1639 The Fundamental Orders Constitution Born In Connecticut./1862 Charter Secured By John Winthrop./1687 The Charter In The Hidden Oak./1789 United State Constitution Adopted On Connecticut's Model." Reverse has large W&H cardboard label. An extraordinary piece and NM. First we've seen.
